Jolla announces Tablet, world’s first truly crowdsourced tablet

Jolla announces it's tablet- 'Jolla Tablet', today at Slush event. Earlier, Jolla teased about a new release that will happen on 19th. Yesterday, Nokia announced their first Android tablet in relation with Foxconn, the Nokia N1 tablet. Today, this Finnish company which has the roots in Nokia, is showing a great entry to tablet market.

The product is not yet ready to be in markets. Jolla is including people to its 'tablet project' which includes an IndieGoGo campaign. The campaign was started today and interestingly, the goal has achieved by a great 150% of funds! (it's still increasing!)

The Jolla tablet is a great 7.85” IPS displayed tablet with 2,048 x 1,536px resolution of 330 pixels-per-inch density and is powered by 1.8GHz Quad-Core Intel processor. The tablet is somehow shows great similarities to the newly released Nokia N1 tablet.

The Jolla tablet is powered by the new Sailfish OS 2.0 with Android beneath it. So it runs all Android apps. Unlike any other, Jolla provides a community so you can suggest features, improvements and all related to make the tablet better for future releases. You can join the community here. Jolla priced the tablet for $189 for the first 1,000 backers and $199 for the next 1,000. The campaign helps to get great deal of users for early development process.
